Cairo, 20/10/22 – The Digital Banker International has honored Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank with three prestigious awards during the Middle East and Africa Excellence Awards Ceremony: “Excellence in Digital Innovation”, “Best Graduate Employment Program” and “Best Financial Inclusion Initiative”. The Digital Banker International Foundation awards the inspiring achievements and innovations that occur within the global financial community. The winning institutions are selected according to a set of international criteria in addition to the expert opinions of analysts specialized in the financial and economic fields.

Commenting on the bank’s honoring with these awards, Ihab ElSewerky, Managing Director and CEO, said: “First of all, I would like to thank Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt team, who played a prominent role in reaching this honorable achievement. We are happy that we have successfully completed the process of upgrading the core banking system as an important step to facilitate progress in the bank’s digitalization plan, which has achieved tremendous results, as the number of users has increased by 95% compared to the same period last year, and the percentage of digital transactions has exceeded more than 60%.”

And regarding the award of the Best employment program for graduates, and believing in the importance of investing in human capital, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank’s strategy is to develop competencies by providing training and accredited certificates in various disciplines around the bank. The bank also attracts fresh graduates and provides training for them through Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Academy, which was launched in 2021 to build banking cadres in order to join the bank and to be trained to have advanced thinking in line with the bank’s vision for providing the highest level of services. During 2022, the Bank has increased the number of Academy graduates by 25% in response to the Bank’s need for young cadres to achieve further growth and expansion.

Recently, the bank has launched “Irada” package, which is the first of its kind that caters integrated services with banking and non-banking features designed to support the heroes of people with disabilities. Also we have supported them with a customized loan at the least interest rate in addition to vast facilities and services to help them in their daily life, this package includes opening a saving account free from administrative fees and without any minimum in addition to issuing them a medical card immediately upon opening the account, allowing them to obtain many specialized medical services and prosthetic devices at reduced fees.
