Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank-Egypt (ADCB), one of the most prominent banking institutions operating in Egypt, cooperates with Zewail University of Science and Technology to launch the “Banking on Brains” initiative. The new initiative aims to support the idea of financial inclusion and the dissemination of financial technology among undergraduates.

The initiative comes within the framework of ADCB-Egypt eagerness to encourage university students to develop their creative ideas in the banking industry and enhance their innovative vision towards “financial technology,” which is a key element that the state is working to promote in our society during the current period. “Banking on Brains” is considered one of the initiatives that ADCB-Egypt launched to achieve the maximum possible benefit for the youth, as well as instilling the idea of excellence and creativity.

This initiative gives university students the opportunity to attend workshops run by the bank on financial inclusion, the banking sector, and the latest technological developments in this field. In addition, the initiative gives students the opportunity to participate in a competition seeking tailored innovative banking solutions to fintech challenges to enable and acknowledge the best ideas. Winners will receive gold coins from the bank.

It is worth noting that the Board of Directors of ADCB – Egypt is keen to create social sustainable development by encouraging creativity and innovation among youth, who are the cornerstone in achieving social and economic development. ADCB – Egypt participated in a number of important activities and events to empower youth, foremost of which was the seminar organized by the Center University for Professional Development at the Faculty of Commerce, Alexandria University, under the title: “Skills Graduates Need in the Egyptian Market,” with the participation of business owners and entrepreneurs in Alexandria Governorate, to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the labor market and the changes that have occurred in the field of employment for university graduates.
