Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt celebrated the opening of its new headquarters located in New Cairo, attended by the bank’s leaders, including Mr. Ala’a Eraiqat, the Group CEO of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank , as well as board members and senior management of the bank in Egypt. The inauguration of the new headquarters is an important strategic step in the bank’s growth plan, affirming its confidence in the growth of the Egyptian economy and its desire to strengthen its presence in Egypt and play an active role in this growth by continuing to serve both individuals and businesses and contributing to community projects simultaneously. Among the bank’s plans to drive digital transformation, the digital innovation center plays a role in promoting advanced creative thinking in line with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank’s vision by building a system that adopts a culture of innovation and encourages continuous development among employees, attracting top fintech companies and ensuring the bank remains a leader in banking services innovation and customer satisfaction.
The new headquarters was built according to global standards for eco-friendly buildings, considering all requirements for resource conservation, including water and energy, and managing resources effectively by equipping the building with an efficient Building Management System (BMS). The bank’s management ensured that 90% of the building’s needs were met by local suppliers. For the first time, electric charging stations for employees’ cars were provided, along with a special system for air purification and treatment inside the building. Additionally, a responsible waste management system was established in cooperation with specialized local companies to dispose waste safely for the environment and recycle it.
On this occasion, Ihab ElSewerky , CEO and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt, commented, “We are proud to open the headquarters as a supporting step for the bank’s plan in alignment with the parent group’s strategy in the UAE to reinforce the bank’s position and prepare it for continued expansion in the Egyptian market since the brand launch at the end of 2020. This opening also confirms the bank’s commitment to achieving sustainability, innovation, and digitalization, as the new headquarters was built according to eco-friendly building standards. We ensured the headquarters includes a digital innovation center that will be a pivotal tool for developing and launching services in line with the bank’s goal to achieve customer satisfaction. Additionally, our aim was to provide a better working environment for employees, ensuring means to achieve better results.”
The building was equipped according to international standards for administrative buildings to achieve appropriate healthy space for each employee and provide many services for staff, including a cafeteria, lecture hall, training center, multiple meeting rooms on all floors, green spaces, a branch equipped to the highest standards, an ATM hub, a two-level car park, and an electric vehicle charging station.
