Cairo _ Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank – Egypt (ADCB Egypt) received The Best Promising Brand Award, one of the most prominent banks operating in the Egyptian Market, from the World Union of Arab Bankers (WUAB).
Ihab El Sewerky, Chairman and Managing Director of the ADCB Egypt Bank, received the award on the sidelines of the Arab Banks Awards & Commendations of Excellence 2020 annual gala dinner. Notable regional and international bankers attended the WUAB Annual Gala Dinner in Beirut, Lebanon, yesterday, Friday.
The award commemorates ADCB-Egypt’s short-term outstanding performance since its entry into the Egyptian market last August. The bank adopts an ambitious strategy with a focus on attaining a strong foothold in the banking industry. Leveraged by ADCB Group’s renowned expertise in electronic banking services and products, the bank aims to support the Central Bank of Egypt’s efforts towards advancing financial inclusion, financially include the unbanked population, and accelerate the move towards a cashless society.
This is the second recognition received by the bank in a relatively short time that did not exceed four months since its launch in Egypt. The Union of Arab Banks (UAB) recognized ADCB-Egypt’s efforts at the Banking Industry and Future of Financial Services Forum last November. Ihab El Sewerky, Chairman and Managing Director of the ADCB Egypt Bank, received the award.
It is worth noting that ADCB Group is considered one of the most acknowledged banking institutions in terms of Excellence and Innovation. The Group received many awards during the year 2020, on top of which is The Innovator 2020 in the Middle East by Global Finance for its Transaction Banking Capabilities under Cash Management, Payments, and Trade Finance.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank has also been honored for Best Homepage Website in the 24th Annual Webby Awards. Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence across the Internet.
