Women Empowerment Principles WEP’s
As part of our ongoing journey to foster a more inclusive and equitable workplace, ADCB-Egypt has officially endorsed the UN Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs) since 2023 — a global initiative by UN Women and the UN Global Compact designed to support companies in promoting gender equality across the workplace, marketplace, and community.
By becoming a WEPs signatory, ADCB-Egypt reaffirms its belief in the critical role that women play in driving innovation, resilience, and long-term value creation. This step reflects the bank’s growing focus on integrating diversity and inclusion into its corporate culture, with a particular emphasis on empowering women in the workforce. This initiative not only aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals but also reflects ADCB-Egypt’s broader ESG commitments and national development strategies (Egypt Vision 2030). This commitment is integrated into the bank’s sustainability and diversity strategies, with clear KPIs and leadership accountability.
According to UN Women, companies that adopt WEPs see improved reputation, access to capital, and employee satisfaction. ADCB-Egypt’s endorsement reinforces its leadership as a responsible financial institution that actively drives inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
