1.Training for Employment initiative for people with disabilities

At ADCB, we believe in the power of education and training to change lives and open doors to new opportunities coupled by the necessity of diversity and inclusion. to With this vision in mind, ADCB launched the Training for Employment initiative under the Education pillar in its CSR strategy focusing on youth with disabilities. This initiative relies on a three-party partnership: ADCB as an initiator and sponsor, a professional technical arm and the future employer.

Two programs took place in collaboration with ElSewedy Technical Academy (STA) and Misr El Kheir (MEK), focused on youth with disabilities from AlSharqia, Suez, Cairo and Fayoum. The training aimed to build both personal skills, enabling participants to integrate smoothly into the labor market, through hands- on training and dedicated support

With STA, youth with disabilities were successfully trained and employed at Swiss Garment Company in the ready-made garments sector. With MEK and Americana Group, students were trained in the hospitality industry.

This initiative positively impacted 125 young people, marking more than just job placements, it represented a true transformation in the lives of these students, as they gained confidence, independence, and full inclusion in a real working environment.

On a parallel note and continuing the success of the CSR Education pillar, driven by the positive impact witnessed in transforming student’s lives and their seamless integration into the workplace, ADCB will pursue and enlarge its collaboration with STA in providing 3-year technical education scholarship for youth with hearing disabilities initially started with one class in 2022. In 2025, the scholarship will be extended for 2 classes for young differently abled, offering them that chance to start a new chapter in their lives.

2.Building Sustainable Communities

In line with ADCB sustainability strategy and its commitment to protect climate, the Bank aims to create a model of sustainable living by implementing community development projects depending on solar power and respecting the environment. 

 

In partnership with Schneider Electric and GEBAL for Sustainable Solutions, ADCB was able to transform the village of El-Ngila, Marsa Matrouh, by implementing a solar-powered project – including a deep water well, desalination unit, greenhouse, and fertigation system. This project provides clean water, renewable energy, and year-round cultivation, directly improving live for 5000 residents per year. The project also creates approximately 20 employment opportunities both on-site and through related off-site services, improved living standards and contribution to the production of 10 tons of agricultural crops per year, desalination of 3650 cubic meters of water annually, also, pumping of 7300 cubic meters of well water per year, generation of 70 megawatt-hours of clean energy, in addition, empower rural and remote communities with sustainability water source.

 

Building on the success, ADCB has decided in 2025 to replicate the model in collaboration with Schneider Electric and Gebal for Sustainable Solutions to establish solar-based desalination units in a remote village in Delta.

3. Volunteering Club: Belonging and positive impact

Aiming to engage our employees and strengthening their sense of belonging, the Volunteer Club activities has commenced as early as the CSR activities in ADCB.

Different activations are held year round in specific occasions where staff and their children are invited to take part. Employees not only contribute to creating a positive impact on society but also develop teamwork, leadership, and empathy. Volunteering provides then with meaningful opportunities to support causes they care about, while reinforcing the organization’s values and commitment to sustainable development.

Accordingly, ADCB’s employees have actively taken part in various initiatives, such as Ramadan box packing and distribution campaigns, Eid clothes, orphanage and hospital visits as well as preparing back to school supplies for deprived children. In 2025, the Volunteer club members traveled to Dahab to take actively part in cleaning the beach and sea water from plastic waste, as a new initiative to contribute to climate protection.
