Abu Dhabi Commercial – Egypt Launches ADCB Academy to Train and Assist Fresh Graduates in Preparing for Future Banking Career
… And Honors the First Academy Graduates
Abu Dhabi Commercial – Egypt (ADCB- Egypt) launched the ADCB Academy, the first academy that trains fresh graduates and prepares them for future jobs in the bank. The academy develops the required understanding among new graduates on the nature of the banking industry in general and specifically acclimatizes them to ADCB – Egypt’s working environment. The launch of the academy was led by a belief in the importance of human capital, the utmost important asset of the banking sector. ADCB-Egypt encourages learning and development opportunities to align with the latest trends in the dynamic banking industry. The ADCB Academy upholds a belief in the importance of generating employment opportunities and equipping youth for job market requirements.
On his part, Mr. Ehab Al-Swerki, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, said: “ADCB Academy is one of the most important strategic initiatives offered by the bank. It plays an important role in providing fresh graduates with the practical skills necessary to start their careers in the banking sector. The training program – is prepared in cooperation with specialized agencies and based on scientific themes that adhere to the latest international standards and provides all the necessary mechanisms to achieve the maximum benefit for graduates to work in the banking sector.”
He added that the program started in early January 2021, for six months of intensive training in cooperation with many parties, led by the Egyptian Banking Institute. The program offers practical experience in various departments inside the bank to prepare trainees to carry on the job duties of each department.
A total of 40 fresh graduated trainees from Egyptian universities and international universities participated in the program. They undertook numerous tests and passed one-on-one interviews to ensure the selection of the best elements.
It is worth mentioning that ADCB – Egypt celebrated the graduation of the first batch of its academy, ADCB Academy, on June 28.
