As part of its digital transformation strategy and its commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction by offering innovative payment services and solutions, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt has signed an exclusive strategic partnership with Visa, the world leader in digital payments. The signing ceremony took place at the bank’s new headquarters, with Ihab ElSewerky , Managing Director and CEO, representing the bank, and Malak El Baba, General Manager of Visa Egypt, representing Visa, in the presence of several senior executives from both sides.

 

This agreement represents a significant step in the realm of individual and corporate payments, allowing the bank to continue providing innovative and secure solutions that grant customers greater freedom and control over their payments. The agreement also aims to expand the bank’s card activities and issue new Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank cards bearing the Visa logo. This aligns with the bank’s strategic direction to expand in digital payments, in line with the Central Bank of Egypt’s initiative to support and encourage the use of electronic payment methods.

 

In this context, Ihab ElSewerky , Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, expressed his delight in collaborating with Visa, a partnership that has been ongoing since the launch of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank in Egypt. He stated, “We are committed to distinguished strategic partnerships that support digital transformation efforts and provide innovative solutions to deliver a unique banking experience, ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting their needs. Additionally, we aim to grow our market share, as the bank has already achieved a 106% increase in its card portfolio by the end of 2023 compared to the previous year. The bank is also set to launch a new Visa Platinum card for companies and issue two Visa Signature debit cards in Egyptian pounds and US dollars for Excellency program customers, offering exclusive privileges that match the lifestyle and aspirations of this customer segment.”

 

On the other side , Malak El Baba, General Manager of Visa Egypt, expressed her pride in the partnership with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, which aligns with Visa’s commitment to leading digital innovation and providing seamless and secure payment experiences for consumers. She added, “We are excited to continue working closely with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank to bring the benefits of digital payments to more customers across Egypt.”
